Please cash your existing or reissued check before December 27, 2024 or you may risk forfeiting your payment.
NOTE: Checks not presented for payment on or before December 27, 2024, will be marked void at the disbursement bank. Please DO NOT try to negotiate a check after December 27, 2024, as the payment will not be negotiable and your bank may charge your account a fee for presenting a void check. Neither Nuveen nor the Distribution Administrator will be responsible for fees that your bank may apply to your account.
Recently, Nuveen Funds identified an isolated cash management issue that yielded excess interest expense in two Nuveen funds - the Nuveen Equity Long/Short Fund (“Nuveen ELS Fund”) and the now-closed Nuveen Equity Market Neutral Fund (“Nuveen EMN Fund”). As a result, Nuveen Funds took the following actions:
- On June 29, 2023, Nuveen contributed an average payment of $1.53 per share, across share classes, to the Nuveen Equity Long/Short Fund.
- Investors who redeemed or exchanged out from the Nuveen ELS Fund or the Nuveen EMN Fund during a specific time period (“Error Period” - see below) received less proceeds than they were entitled to as a result of this isolated issue. The reimbursement payment dated August 16, 2024, reflects these additional proceeds, with interest.
